Usage notes
8.1
Change the object, service point type
When you change the object type or the service point type, you must close the object form and reopen it to
display the criteria associated with the new type.
When you create a new object or a new Sercice point and select its type, you must close the object form
and reopen it to display the criteria associated with the new type.
8.2
General presentation of Amarco Designer algorithm
Generally the Command bar buttons request Amarco Designer to analyze the drawing to find objects and
connections.
Find structure objects (containers)
Find objects inside containers
Find objects outside containers (agents)
Find connections between the objects
Using the connections places by you, Amarco Designer deduces the service points and the relation
orientation.
8.3
Limits of Amarco Designer
Amarco Designer integrates in the general philosophy of the other supporting software for Amarco.
The embedded structures (containers inside containers) are not supported in design mode.
Amarco Designer manages one structure at a time. Amarco Repository manages embedded
structures.

8.4
Use with Amarco Repository
To find easily in Amarco Repository the objects and service points created with Amarco designer, each
item is saved in the repository with « Amarco Designer » keyword.
8.5
Other stencils in Visio
To avoid shape confusion, do not use other Visio stencils when using Amarco Designer
