Software Start up
After starting Visio, you use the amarcoDesign.vst template to create an empty diagram using
AmarcoDesign.vss stencil. You save it under a preferred name. This template is usually in the
AmarcoDesigner folder. To insure that Visio uses the AmarcoDesign.vss stencil and the amarcoDesign.vst
template, you may use the command vPathSysoft.exe before starting Visio (normally this command is
executed at setup time).
Once an initial drawing made with the amarcosDesign.vst template is saved, you will see the Amarco
design command tool bar. Also a right click on a shape will display Amarco specific commands.
Important: if the buttons do not appear, check the macros security settings (Tools / Macros / security).
You must allow macros execution to use Amarco Designer.
The next step is to connect to Amarco Repository database using the setup command.
Access authorization
Amarco Designer access is authorized using the Windows login. The authorization is managed in Amarco
Repository.
