12.3 Create a new object in the database
Use the shape labeled « object » » in the Amarco Designer stencil and drag it on the
workspace. Right click and select Design, or click on the Design button on the toolbox. Enter
the information in the form displayed. Press the button Edit, then « Save as new object ».
12.4 Create a new structure in the database
Use the shape labeled « structure » in the Amarco Designer stencil and drag it on the
workspace. Right click and select design, or click on the Design button on the toolbox. Enter
the information in the form displayed. Press the button Edit, then « Save as new object ».
Use the shape labeled « object » » in the Amarco Designer stencil and drag it on the
workspace, inside the structure (as internal object) or outside it (as external object). Right
click and select design, or click on the Design button on the toolbox. Enter the information.
Press the button Edit, then « Save as new object »
When all objects are defined, press the « Save in the database » button on the toolbar.
12.5 Assign a shape to an object already in the database.
Use the shape labeled « structure » or « object
» » in the Amarco Designer stencil and drag it
on the workspace. Right click and select « search », or click on the « Search » button on the
toolbox. Enter the search criteria on the form. Select one of the objects in the list to assign it
to the shape.
If the shape is a structure defined previously, Amarco designer will put the internal and the
external objects on the workspace.

You can now resize / reposition the objects as you like. When you are ready, you can display
the connections, press CxDB on the toolbar.
